APhA’s Role in the Development and Support of New Payment Systems
REIMBURSEMENT AND COMPENSATION
APhA should continue its work with pharmacy benefits’ managers and other private and public payers to develop innovative pharmacy benefit designs and compensation strategies for pharmacists’ services.
APhA will endorse benefit design concepts that recognize and compensate pharmacists for their cognitive services to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
