Misk Al Qaderi, The University of Arizona
Misk Al Qaderi is a student pharmacist from the University of Arizona R. Ken Coit College of
Pharmacy
who is recognized for her leadership, innovation, and commitment to shaping the future of the
profession. She serves as a PharmD ambassador, holds leadership roles across several student
organizations, and is a pharmacy intern at Mayo Clinic and HonorHealth, where she has been actively
involved in patient care, professional engagement, and strategic outreach. Extending beyond her
academic
and professional training, Misk is passionate about social media engagement, creative communication,
and
strategic marketing, using photography, graphic design, and videography to advance pharmacy
initiatives
through innovative and accessible content. As a recipient of the APhA Student Leader Award, Misk has
demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing public health and elevating the role of pharmacists
through innovative outreach and service. She led an influenza vaccine awareness campaign that
reached
more than 70,000 individuals through producing commercial-style videos, produced a public service
announcement video for the Arizona Pharmacy Association that was featured during a Phoenix Suns
game,
and organized health fairs that provided more than 100 free naloxone kits to the community. Through
these initiatives, she has combined leadership, advocacy, and creative communication to expand the
impact and visibility of the pharmacy profession.
Sami Gangji, The University of Rhode Island
Sami Gangji is a third-year student pharmacist at The University of Rhode Island College of
Pharmacy,
where he demonstrates a strong passion for policy development, advocacy, and advancing the
profession of
pharmacy. He has demonstrated a commitment to leadership within the American Pharmacists
Association,
working to elevate student voices and strengthen engagement at the local, regional, and national
levels.
Sami currently serves as Region 1 Regional Delegate, where he helps to coordinate the APhA–-ASP
policy
process and works to inspire students to become interested in policy and advocacy. He also serves as
his
chapter’s International Vice President, where he works to introduce his peers to the world of
pharmacy
outside of the United States. Sami started his leadership involvement in APhA–ASP as Policy Vice
President, where he fostered his passion for advocacy, and continues to inspire his peers to have a
positive impact on the profession of pharmacy. Last summer, Sami also served as the Carl F.
Emswiller
Summer Intern, working to coordinate over 150 Capitol Hill visits and work on various initiatives to
support student leadership within APhA–-ASP. Beyond APhA, Sami previously served as Regent
(President)
of Kappa Psi, promoting professional development and philanthropy events. He also served as
treasurer of
Phi Lambda Sigma and currently as vice president of Rho Chi, where he works to coordinate research
initiatives focused on student success. He also is a national first place winner of the ACCP
Clinical
Research Challenge. He is deeply committed to empowering his peers to pursue leadership, fostering
an
environment where student pharmacists feel inspired to advocate for their patients and the
profession.
As Sami looks ahead to his final year of pharmacy school, he is eager to explore new opportunities.
He
is interested in pharmacy practice research and plans to pursue a PhD in health outcomes after
graduation.
Paige Holopirek, The University of Kansas
Paige Holopirek is a third-year student pharmacist at the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy
who
has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and professional involvement since the beginning
of
her pharmacy education. From her first day in pharmacy school, she immersed herself in both her
academic
responsibilities and extracurricular engagement, particularly through active participation in
APhA–ASP.
Her involvement with APhA–ASP began as a member of the Operation Heart Committee, where she
contributed
to coordinating cardiovascular health initiatives and community outreach events aimed at improving
public awareness and patient care. Building on this experience, she advanced to the role of
President-elect and is currently concluding her term as Chapter President. In this capacity, she has
led
and collaborated with a dedicated student leadership team to organize professional development
programming, community service initiatives, and chapter engagement activities. Her leadership
philosophy
centers on fostering an inclusive environment in which members feel empowered to contribute ideas,
take
initiative, and develop both personally and professionally. At the regional level, Paige served as
the
region 6 midyear regional meeting coordinator, facilitating collaboration among student pharmacists
nationwide and working closely with regional officers to deliver a successful and meaningful event.
Beyond APhA–ASP, she has been actively involved in the American Society of Health-System
Pharmacists,
the
KU School of Pharmacy Ambassadors program, Phi Lambda Sigma, and Kappa Psi. Through these
organizations,
she has represented the profession, mentored peers, and continued refining her leadership skills.
Throughout her experiences, Paige has developed a deep appreciation for teamwork and collaboration.
She
believes effective leadership is defined not by prominence, but by the ability to create space for
others to succeed. Her commitment to service and professional growth continues to shape her
aspirations
within the field of pharmacy.
Seth Meyer, The Lipscomb University in Nashville
Seth Meyer is a third-year student pharmacist at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Seth’s leadership
journey began early in pharmacy school when he became the first student pharmacist from Lipscomb
selected as a top 10 finalist in the APhA–ASP National Patient Counseling Competition at the APhA
Annual
Meeting & Exposition. This achievement marked the beginning of his deep commitment to advancing
student
engagement and professional growth through APhA–ASP. Serving as President-Elect of Lipscomb’s
APhA–ASP
Chapter, Seth helped lead a culture of innovation, collaboration, and service. As he stepped into
leadership, the chapter earned the APhA–-ASP Chapter of the Year Award at APhA2025 in Nashville, an
accomplishment reflecting sustained excellence in patient care initiatives, member development, and
community outreach. Now serving as President, Seth has led his chapter to navigate a new distance
learning pathway, expand member engagement with an estimated 90% student involvement in APhA–-ASP
events, and support initiatives to host events targeting underserved patient populations each
semester.
Beyond organizational leadership, Seth has demonstrated a strong commitment to mentorship, teaching,
and
scholarship through adjunct academic roles and research involvement. He is passionate about
equipping
fellow student pharmacists with the confidence, skills, and sense of purpose needed to lead within
the
profession. Through his service, Seth exemplifies vision, integrity, collaboration, and steadfast
dedication to elevating his peers and strengthening the communities they impact.
