Start Your CGM Practice with Confidence

Expert guidance to seamlessly integrate CGM services and enhance patient care from day one.

Clinical Implementation of CGM

The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) developed The Clinical Implementation of Continuous Glucose Monitoring in the Community Pharmacy Certificate Training Program, an educational experience designed to equip pharmacists with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to perform CGM services. The program has both an online home study component, as well as, a 4-hour live program.

The program provides comprehensive instruction in current CGM concepts and standards of care and incorporates case studies and hands-on skills training focused on the situations most likely to be encountered—as well as the services most needed—in community practice settings. Participants will gain experience in the clinical and operational aspects of CGM, including but not limited to workflow, billing, patient identification, patient education, visit guides, and documentation processes. The program provides comprehensive instruction in current CGM concepts and standards of care and incorporates case studies and hands-on skills training focused on the situations most likely to be encountered—as well as the services most needed—in community practice settings.
