As a student pharmacist or a first-year pharmacy resident, it is challenging to assess the postgraduate path needed to achieve one’s career goals. Determining if additional training beyond the first residency year is the next best step can be one of the most challenging decisions that pharmacy residents face. 

The Region 1 APhA–ASP Midyear Regional Meeting (MRM), held the weekend of October 28–30, was a wonderful opportunity to network with other student pharmacists and pharmacists. This was my fifth MRM, yet it’s always exciting to learn new things and make new friends!

Nowadays, between my school classrooms to my workplace, it’s become a recurring question that people ask me: “Why didn’t you go to art school?”
